Purple Gatorade?

Man, purple Gatorade is good.

Don't you love a good burger?

Fax? Why don't you just send it over on a dinosaur?

Seen any good movies lately?

School

School, the one place where I can act weird and where I can get some of my best work done. What I like about Manitou Middle School is that it's my second home. We have the nicest staff and kids. I wish every school had a community like ours.

Manitou

In the season of Summer, the leaves are green,
as green as the grass we step upon with out feet. The town is colored in beautiful colors,
the colors of the rainbow, forever and ever.
In Fall, the colors of the trees are orange and pink, and the birds are flying quickly to East.
Now comes Winter, the season of snow.
And Manitou is surely, the right place to go.
The ground is covered in inches of snow,
and when the sun shines, it glitters and glows.
And then when it's Christmas, the town glows with lights. The town is covered in beauty so bright. The trees are filled with colors and lights, and the people are filled with spirit and delight. Last comes Spring, the season of beauty. The flowers are growing and spreading truly. The fields are filled with sunflowers galore, and the kids are ready for Summer to start.
No matter the season, no matter the time,
Manitou is surely, a fine place divine.

Af Íslandi #3

I'm moving... it's terrible!!!

Where am I moving? Well, if you must know, America!  To be more specific, Colorado.  Af Íslandi ...I'll stand out! I won't be able to speak right!!! (gráta)

My story started here.

The Bug Disaster!

One Day, I was in my backyard (in my old backyard in the old state I used to live in) I was around the age seven to eight. I was on my swing set enjoying myself until a giant bug jumped up from the grass and to where I was  swinging.

I jumped off of my swing and ran straight to my old home. I was mortified from that but I was determined to go outside and swing, so I grabbed an electric fly swatter and went back the the swing.  I was walking to the swing and I finally made it there, I placed the fly swater by many side and started to swing. I was good about 5 minutes in before another bug jumped at my stomach. I was crying and freaking out a lot, so I grabbed the fly swatter and started smashing it against my stomach.

It died and got stuck on the fly swatter but always and forever, I will hate bugs.

River of Life.

Its procured calm spots
and its rough rapids,
it has beings trying to wade
through tough streams
or causing waves
in calm ones.

Rivers pool off into streams and creeks,
to ultimately slip away into the dirt—
to dry up and become,
nothing.

Though it is imperative to comprehend
that a river does not simply stand in its own reality,
but rather is intertwined in the vast
convolution of life.

Where it is inhabited by the creatures
that are reliant upon it
and by the creatures in which one day
will be killed by its hand.

And albeit our efforts,
we cannot change the flow of a river,
just as much as you cannot simply change the course of a life.

Eclipse!

Ohh, how I love eclipses. They are really cool. Well, mostly the blood moon! It's red, that's why it's called a blood moon, and yes, it's obvious I know!😏 I just can't wait to see the next one and you should too! So long for now!🌑🌘🌗🌖🌕🌔🌓🌒🌑😎

Life is Like a River...

I'm not sure, but I don't think I got everyone in here.  Sorry!
If you got cut off on the sides, don't worry,
I promise there will be another opportunity at some point this year.  :)
Well, that was fun.

I rescued a journal from the wild waters of Fountain Creek, got helped out of the water by a really nice stranger named Jerry, loaned my pen out to someone who lost his pencil, and brought home a duck feather.

What did YOU do?

Paul Fleichshman. A biography that is also an autobiography. By Paul Fleichshman.

It starts with darkness. Then light. Then light again. I think, " Why so bright?" but I am currently illiterate, so I can not think that. Well, I can, but I don't have the skills needed to understand these thoughts that I'm thinking currently. I think a lot of thoughts. There are many thoughts that I think about on a daily basis. I think about a lot of things, but I am currently thinking  about thinking thoughts about thinking about things.

Hello!

I'm still trying to understand stand why a group would do this and what was there point by crashing planes into the twin towers

Grilled Cheese

Grilled cheese is just about the best thing to happen to mankind. The beauty of the grilled cheese is the simplicity and deliciousness. If you're ever feeling sad, lazy, or just don't know how to really cook, then just fire up the stove, get some butter, as much cheese as you want, and two pieces of bread. Butter up the pan, make a cheese sandwich, place it in the pan. From there you just flip it and move it until you get how you want. With that creation of beauty you have, you just add whatever you want: condiments, pickles, meats, anything really. You can have it when your sick, want to have something quick and easy for lunch or dinner, whatever the situation, just have a grilled cheese. Grilled cheese cures everything.

How much we take for granted

Being able to do pretty much everything that we can do in the U.S is a perk that the majority of people cannot experience in other countries such as in North Korea. Kim Jong Un the dictator,  forces citizens to have a photo of him in their house otherwise he will slaughter you and your entire family.

And there are other places that limit your freedoms like Cuba, Russia, and Sudan. As Americans with more freedom than other countries, we do not take the time to think about how selfish we really think everyone else is because they took this or did that to us.

We never have took time to be grateful for the fact that we are not living in a communist country or having a hard time in a depression or poverty. Like places where at the age of about six or seven working all day for the inhuman price of ten to twenty cents an hour. While all we have to worry about is who has the better car, TV, house, console, or even something so petty as who has the better SHOES!!! Kids in some other countries can't even get shoes, electricity, or sometimes even a meal or clean water!!!

Maybe all the recent natural disasters should be reminding us to appreciate the life we have the freedom to live.

Not Knowing

I like people not knowing who I am.

A Good Friend

Can you tell when you have a good friend? I know I can. A good friend picks you up when you fall down or makes you happy when you feel blue.

The moment you know you have a good friend, doesn't necessarily mean that they are already your good friend, but you feel that they will be. I know someone who, when I met her I knew we were going to become great friends.

And we did, she is now one of my very good friends and I met her just a few months ago.

To describe a good friend you probably want to include... loyal, humble, down to earth, helpful, loving, caring, kind, sweet, encouraging, and anything else you can think of. My personal favorite, is having a good friend that is, and always will be themselves.

For my lítil sauðfé #2

Hi low my lítil sauðfé! I missed you. I was in Reykjavík to see my friend Freyja Einarsson.  She is very nice and sweet. (Like súkkulaði) We're are going to camp on an iceberg tomorrow so that's exciting! Got to go, góða nótt!

Excited For Blogging!

I'm really excited that we started blogging! I'm excited to be behind the scenes as my new character!

Hello!

Hello! I'm Vegas Moon. I usually like to write about something I heard, saw, or read. Sometimes I like to write stories, but I probably won't be doing that on this blog. My favorite colors are orange and yellow. My favorite movie is Fast and Furious. My favorite book is The Hunger Games, the first book. I just wanted to say I'm really excited to start my blog! I hope you enjoy the content you read! Thanks!

Winter

Hi there! One thing not everyone knows about me is that I love winter and Christmas so I'm going to share a poem that I read (I did not write this) so it goes a little something like this.
                                                             I made myself a snowball,
                                                               As perfect as could be,
I thought I'd keep it as a pet,
And let it sleep with me,
                                                              I made it some pajamas,
And a pillow for its head,
Then last night it ran away,
But first it wet the bed

Be Ready for My Stories

I'm very excited to start writing for you. I will write about the good and the bad and in the middle. I will take stories from my friends and myself and see if they are enough to satisfy my viewers and if you are enjoying them as much as I enjoy making them. And with that being said be ready for my stories.

Welcome

Greetings, 4th Block!

If you are reading this, boy are you lucky.... because you are a member of my 4th block class!

Thank you so much for such a peaceful outing at the end of the day last Friday.

No one decided to climb, yell, or talk.  Maybe you did a little, but you didn't disturb anybody else, at least not that I could hear.  Then, when it was time to come down from taking our family photo on the rocks (sorry, I didn't get the photos from Lucian yet.  I'll do that and post them here soon), Nathan and Xavier kindly stayed behind to help make sure Iris got down from the rocks ok.

Y'all rock.  (pun intended)

It was theee best ending I could have ever hoped for, after a long first week of school.  I know that ending my day every day with you is going to be amazing.  You have already proved yourselves to be thoughtful, kind, and courageous.

Anyway, here is your blog.  It's your place to write whatever you want to say.  Poems, short stories, chapters of novels, opinions, book reviews, essays (don't be scared by the word essay.  An essay is just an organized piece of writing on a topic you are interested in.  Your hobby speech was an essay, when you think about it).

Here are some more pics.  Sorry, I didn't get one of everyone.  Y'all were hiding out in some interesting places!

I hope you are as excited about this project as I am!  It's going to take everyone working together. Blogging can be tricky.  You'll get frustrated sometimes.  I'm not going to tell you everything about how to do it -- you'll just have to get curious and figure stuff out. You can't really do anything wrong, though, so don't be afraid to just try stuff.  There's lots of buttons.  Find out what they do. Then share your knowledge.  This is a collaborative project - we all have to help each other out to learn.

Oh, and the coolest part?  You get to have pseudonyms.

The other coolest part?  When you publish something here, the whole world will be able to read it. That's pretty crazy when you think about it! So make sure you have edited your grammar, spelling, and punctuation to be close to perfection.  Lucky for us, we will have some editors-in-chief to help with this.

If you'd like to be an editor-in-chief, please get an application from the back counter.  I need people who have a good handle on the English language, and enjoy helping others.

That's it for now.

Welcome to your new blog!

Assignment #1:
In the comments, write a response to this post.

Whatever you write will be awesome.
