How much we take for granted

Being able to do pretty much everything that we can do in the U.S is a perk that the majority of people cannot experience in other countries such as in North Korea. Kim Jong Un the dictator,  forces citizens to have a photo of him in their house otherwise he will slaughter you and your entire family.

And there are other places that limit your freedoms like Cuba, Russia, and Sudan. As Americans with more freedom than other countries, we do not take the time to think about how selfish we really think everyone else is because they took this or did that to us.

We never have took time to be grateful for the fact that we are not living in a communist country or having a hard time in a depression or poverty. Like places where at the age of about six or seven working all day for the inhuman price of ten to twenty cents an hour. While all we have to worry about is who has the better car, TV, house, console, or even something so petty as who has the better SHOES!!! Kids in some other countries can't even get shoes, electricity, or sometimes even a meal or clean water!!!

Maybe all the recent natural disasters should be reminding us to appreciate the life we have the freedom to live.

This was a very nice and meaningful post. I liked that post because it is 100% accurate, we do take so many things for granted that we really shouldn't. Considering how many countries that have it 1000 times worse than us. Thank you for that wonderful post!

I completely agree! What are some ways we could practice gratitude more often?
