Tsunami

She watched as the huge wave of water 
got closer and closer. 
She stood there and stared. 
She didn’t run, 
she didn’t scream, 
there was no point in it anyways.
Building after building, cry after cry, 
the angry wave of water 
got closer and closer.
She watched as a mother 
and her young daughter 
said their last prayers, 
the family 
shared their last hugs,
the couple, 
their last kiss.
Like a horrific scene from a movie, 
cars flying through the air, 
people screaming 
and buildings crashing. 
She lifts out her arms, 
and takes her last breath.
