Luvan Lake Diaries~Introduction

July 15th, 3010

It's the year 3010, a new species has been found, the Luvan Bird. Belonging to the newly found, well, found about 12 years ago, Luvan Lake in Santa Cruz County, California. (P.S. To all those ghosts reading this right now, no, there are not robots, well kinda, but they aren’t taking over the world. Sorry.)

Anywho, there has been a lot of talk about this lake. People are saying it's haunted and dangerous and all that. People still go on it though, as well as I, and I've never seen anything suspicious. I've swum in it, I've been boating on it. Have I seen the Loch Ness monster? Have I seen any dead people? No, never. And I'm not planning on it any time soon.

Oh yea, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Scarlett. I am 16 years old and go to Luvan Lake High, another new thing built only one year after the Lake was founded. So that makes it only about 11 years old. My Dad got me this diary because he thought I would enjoy writing in it. I know this is going to sound nerdy, but I actually kind of like it!

Anyway, this lake has been the new talk around not only California, but like, the whole United States ever since is was founded! And do you know what that means? Traffic! Lots and lots of traffic! People from all over the country are coming to see this lake! This lake! Why not go to Lake Powell in Utah or something instead of here? Yes, I know that lake was made more than 2,000 years ago, but still! Ugh, ok, changing the subject, well kind of.

I guess our town is like one of the most mysterious places in the world, and when people don't come for the lake, they usually come for the famous Mystery Spot. Me and my Dad go to the Mystery Spot every summer, it's pretty fun actually! It's basically like this one big spot that consists of no gravity so you can just float around in there, plus, it's really cheap to get in, only like $6.00 for adults, $5.00 for parking, and it's free for children three years or younger and active duty military personnel. Haha, yes, I memorized all of that, by the way.

Oh yea, did I mention it's 12:00 at night right now? Guess I better get to bed. Night!
