daunting

dont you just hate it
when “fish” refers to many of one species of aquatic creature

“fishes”

  refers to many of multiple
                      species of the aquatic

creatures and “fish” also refers to a
              single aquatic creature

man
             thats just the worst

my personal favorite

 however

          is “fishies”
                            which refers
to any quantity
         of aquatic creatures

                                                              good day

Politics

My Mom is obsessed with politics. She never stops talking about it. Also she never stops talking about Donald Trump being unfit to be president. That affects me because I have to hear and watch about politics. Also I have to listen to my Mom and Dad talking about my Grandpa who voted for Donald Trump.

Since I can remember we went with my mom to vote every election year and never stopped. As a matter of fact, I became upset when the last election came because we could not go, the line was too long and we had to go to school. This helps me to understand what’s going on in our country.

In conclusion, I hate this house for having every single T.V. on MSNBC. It would be on in the living room, bedroom, or any other room that has a T.V.

The Christmas Dog! 🐶

                                 The Christmas Dog

Once upon a time, there was a dog.

Her name was Buttercup. Buttercup was a newborn Golden Retriever English Pit-Bull that was very strong, but unfortunately had been abandoned. She was put into a trash bag, making her suffocate.  She was just wanting to give up. She was panting so hard she almost died.

She heard trucks and cars passing by, but she heard no voices. As she had been waiting there for a while, she suddenly heard voices walking by her. She barked, but very quietly to get their attention, and they were looking all around. Until one clever child opened the trash can next to her.

She was panting so hard, and the girl saw a bag moving very quickly, so she opened it. Inside, she saw a skinny dog that she had known has been there for a while.

She took her home, in a foster care, and she tried to hide it from Ms.Caroline ("mother") who would not allow any toys or pets in the house. But she slept with Buttercup in a closet nobody went in, and she decorated it with Christmas lights.

She didn't let Ms. Caroline stop her.

PEC Live

In today's issue I will show you a new and adorable creature. I recently found a new thing called goldfish shows, and they have these things, they are called ranchu goldfish.

If you guys like them let me know and I’ll do a full segment on them. Any way, I was recently talking to one of my dear friends, Hekla Daydaughter.

Me) So Hekla, can you tell me about your favorite writing piece?
Hekla) Well, my latest update is my favorite, it’s about my least favorite meme.
Me) And what is that meme?
Hekla) The “that moment when” memes.
Me) And why do you hate them?
Hekla) Because half of the time you say them, but you don’t do the a funny face. Or at, anything enjoyable.
Me) Thank you for your time Ms. Hekla, I look forward to our next interview.

You guys let me know in the comments who you want interview next, on PEC Live.

That moment when

Memes, they are new to me, but I understand them.  My minnst uppáhalds meme is “that moment when”.  They’re so pirrandi! When you see a picture with a funny face and “joke” it makes sense, but when you say it, you are usually not even making a face!  It’s not funny, it’s not charismatic, but you know what it is?  Overused.

P.S.  some “meme lord” (hræðilegt nafn á leiðinni) will probably go to the comment section and defend this meme. Don’t waste your time, this is an opinion, so take your kúkur somewhere else. Þakka þér fyrir

my favorite meme

War 2

Me and the mayor are stuck in a closet, which felt like a 3000 psi (pressure per square inch) crusher, with no food or water. We thought we were going to die when someone came in and took us to the office where a huge and very armored guy was waiting for us to enter the room. He had a enormous hammer which he had picked up five seconds after we had entered the office. I was obligated to say help, but I couldn't bring myself to it because I was choking on my own breath. When we were about to get crushed I realized I still had a frag grenade!

(Search frag grenade in your browser for mon info)
Link to part one: http://74msms2017.blogspot.com/2017/11/war.html
(Copy and paste link to part one)

I pulled the pin and threw it at the ground and told the mayor to get down, but when it exploded nothing had happened! When he had stepped over the spot where the frag had gone off, the floor broke and he plummeted  three stories. We thought he was dead, but right when we were about to leave, he just appeared right in front of us, unscathed, no injuries what so ever!
When we ran to go to the window to try to climb out, he just appeared right in front of us, as if he were god. We were running back and forth, trying to escape, when I remembered I still had my radio, so I called in a gun run to our position!

I know, I know that we might die, but it was either get crushed by Frankenstein over there, or try to avoid the gun run, and I did the easier, and smarter thing. The gun run killed him, but me and the mayor were a little shaken up. We ran out of the room and met with one of my team mates, got on a plane, and flew out of there to safety. About two hours later, we landed at a friendly air base and stayed there to rest, and get food. About one hour later, guess what, we are in danger again!

What are the odds that we get in trouble seven times in one day, world you are being a jerk to me
right now. We are being bombed, but how? This is a top secret base that only allies of America can get into, plus it's off radar. They must have tracked me somehow, that or they hacked our systems undetected.

We managed to get to the Anti-Aircraft cannons and shot them down. Yet as soon as we shoot the planes down, we are under f#*@!%$ attack again, this time by ground teams. We were able to fight them off, but they were just a distraction so that tanks could roll right through a fifteen inch solid concrete wall! Either the Nazis are working with nuclear material, or they are just using a very powerful fuel source. As I sit here and think about what to do, I do what my father told me, I started to use my surroundings to try to destroy the tank.

Little did I know there was an R.P.G(rocket propelled grenade) on the ledge. I grabbed it, but I didn't have a clear shot, so I had no choice but to jump off the ledge. Somehow I landed the shot right in the exhaust and it exploded, but there was still the little matter of me landing safely on the ground, oh boy. Then I realized all I had to do was either shoulder roll, or... nope just shoulder roll. The impact was painful, but no broken limbs, that's the plus side of this terrible day.

No, not the impact, the no broken limbs part, can we just move on please. The power source from the tank was still on the ground, not at all damaged, not even a scratch. The power source seemed nuclear, but the Geiger counter didn't pick up anything. Well, now that was over we went to get a beer or two, " Wait, what's that noise?", I remember one of my buddies saying that when we heard a very loud banging as if we were being attacked by Godzilla.

Find out what the noise is in the next issue, being released in about two to three days

What I Saw The day of November 9th

Do you guys want to know what I saw on the day of November 9th?

Well, I'll tell you. It was November 9th (obviously) and I saw something I'll never forget. It wasn't something terribly horrible that happened, but it was still weird enough for me to be blogging about. So, here's what happened.

I was walking my dog one day and I saw a limping deer. I know what you are thinking, seeing a limping deer isn't weird. But listen a little more. I felt really bad for the deer, but I wondered what happened. Before I could finish thinking about what happened, my dog started barking and tugging on the leash to go get the deer. Then, I heard some rustling in the bushes.

I didn't think anything of it until I heard something that sounded like a growl. I looked closer and closer into the bushes and I saw the thing that hurt the deer. It was a mountain lion. I was freaking out because obviously my dog and I could get killed by this creature. My neighbor told me that if there is a mountain lion and it hasn't noticed you yet, slowly walk away and just talk about random stuff whether you are by yourself or with someone like your dog. So, that's what I did. I walked away and started talking to myself. But when I looked behind me, the mountain lion was only coming closer and closer and then...(CHOMP!)

By the way, I'm not dead. It just bit off my arm. I'm still here to write the end of my story. In the end, I ended up getting stitches and I haven't seen the mountain lion since.

I recently expanded my knowledge by acquiring this piece of information: I AM A PIECE OF PLASTIC SILVERWARE.

Yes, the rumors are true. I am not a human, not an alien, not a large aquatic creature, not Manfried the Talking Piñata, not a satellite, not an out of proportion portable telephone, not an overly talkative, green apricot slice, not a copy of “The Midnight Plan of the Repo Man” by W. Bruce Cameron, not a water bottle, and not Lt. Joe Kenda, Homicide Hunter. (Watch now on the Investigation Discovery channel.)

I am a piece of plastic silverware.

Watch your back. But not all the time, because if your attention is on your back, then I will take over the universe from the front.

Please and thank you for your time.

Love

Love is a thing we all have to find

Love is a thing deep inside

Love is a new feeling waiting to show

Love is a place where anyone can go

Love is a path that is no longer there

Love is a thought yet to be shared

Love is a thing we can lose

Love can't always be there for you

Love can be found in so many parts

Love is somewhere deep in your heart

Love can rejoice and make you feel happy inside

She stood with her five-year-old daughter at the airport, tearing up as she helped her daughter hold the Welcome Home sign. She smiled at her daughter and her daughter smiled back and said, "I'm so excited for Daddy to get here!" Her Mother smiled once again. "Me too sweetie."

They waited for him to show up. It has been hours, and the airport was about to close. "Where's Daddy?" Her daughter asked.
That's when both she and her daughter had the same thought.
"Is Daddy... alright?" Her daughter asked.
She and her mother stared at the opening of the plane coming from Iraq.
"I don't know." Her mother said.

Just then, an older man dressed in army equipment walked over to the mother and her daughter. He handed the mothers daughter a Panoramio (a flower from Iraq his daughter wanted), and her mother a wedding ring and an army cap.
"He told me to give these to you. To tell you that he loves you and will always be with you. Those were his last words. I'm so sorry."

Then, the man nodded and walked away, as the mother and her daughter stared at their gifts.
The five-year-old daughter watched her mother fall onto her knees and cry. She hugged her mother as hard as she could and once again said, "Mommy, are you alright? Where's Daddy?"
The mother looked up at her daughter.
"Sweetie, Daddy is in a better place now."
Her daughter smiled.
"Where? Like Disneyland? Or maybe that really pretty flower garden we saw on t.v!"
Her mother smiled, tears running down her face.

"No, sweetie, Daddy is in Heaven."
Her daughter went silent.
"You mean... Daddy's... dead?"
Her daughter started to cry.
They sat in the middle of the airport, kneeling on the ground, as they hugged each other and cried.
"We'll see him soon sweetie, it's going to be fine, alright? Daddy will always be in our hearts."

They sat there, listening to the traffic in the distance, and watching as all the lights around them started to turn off.

Death

What is death like?

Is it total blackness and nothing is there except you? Are you just a spirit that can walk around and not get hurt at all or get sick you can’t even feel pain? Personally I would like that life instead of this life where you could get hurt and get sick and die. Then there is reincarnation where when you die you get reborn in  another body and you don’t remember anything of your past life, which to me is a little too far fetched. Now I need to wait until I die which will be a long time.

I hope.

I am back with a flash fiction.

Hello it has been a while but I am back from the dead. Here is one of my writings.

By Mark Mayers

A man stands where his children once stood before they were shot. Time goes by fast and people just stare at him while days go by. He wishes that he was more mentally stable than what he is. He says to himself why me out of all things, why this? With a tear coming down his eye. As a police car drifts to where he is,he activates the mine he set there. Instead of jumping behind a dumpster, to get less of the impact he just takes that opportunity to free himself of reason, and let’s the explosion engulf him.

Fortunately or Unfortunately?

DID THIS WITH A FRIEND!

Fortunately, I invented a machine that can turn someone or something invisible in an instant.
Unfortunately, it broke down while a male test subject was in the machine, and he died.
Fortunately, we moved on to another (very frightened ) female test subject, and the machine worked perfectly!
Unfortunately, the female test subject quit because she was very frightened that she would die, too.
Fortunately, they found another test subject that was far more brave, but male.
Unfortunately, they also wanted to test females, but they were all acting like babies that have their diapers full of doo doo.
Fortunately, Linda manned up and offered to be the test subject, even though her diaper was full.
Unfortunately, Linda was just being Linda, and she microwaved a frozen Capri-Sun, and it blew up the microwave, and the whole kitchen (it probably will cost a few bucks).
Fortunately, Linda had a few bucks/trillions. (If your wondering why, she's a trillionare)
Unfortunately, when she went to go withdraw some cash, there was nothing in her account because she realized she spent all the money on this gnarly golden toilet, with sweet diamond bedazzles.
Fortunately, she had that sweet toilet so her life was set.
Unfortunately, someone from the lab stole her sweet toilet because he was mad that she blew up the kitchen, and so she has no money left.
Fortunately, she submitted a ticket to the lottery, and won the powerball!
Unfortunately, Linda was cheering that she won the lottery, but she was not paying attention, and she was skipping and twirling in the road.

And got hit by a car.

Fortunately, unfortunately

DID WITH A FRIEND! I did fortunately, and my friend did unfortunately.

Fortunately, I just landed on the moon!(Yes I am a child, and yes I'm an astronaut.)
Unfortunately, it wasn't as interesting as I expected.
Fortunately, when I got back on earth, I got an ice cream cone with five scoops of ice cream.
Unfortunately, (because my brother got the ice cream, and he doesn't know my favorite flavors) I only liked one of the flavors, so I had to eat around the other scoops.
Fortunately, my brother felt really bad because he got the wrong flavors, so he took me to Mexico for a week.
Unfortunately, I have never been on a plane before (so I didn't know what to expect with the altitude and all) , I turned into an alien out of nowhere!Fortunately, now I can brag to all my human friends back at home that I am an alien.
Unfortunately, they will probably be scared of me and run away like little babies screaming for help like their diapers are full of doo doo.
Fortunately, when we landed in Mexico, and got out of the airport, I ran into the tropical world of trees and found a family of aliens.
Unfortunately, the aliens were savages and ripped off my diaper to reveal my inner alien.
Fortunately, it was not awkward to be naked because it's normal for aliens to have no clothes.
Unfortunately, when he gets home, his human friends would be even more scared because they are not used to aliens, let alone aliens without clothes!
Fortunately, the aliens just weren't used to an alien having clothes on, and are perfectly average aliens so they became friends.
Unfortunately, my alien powers ran out of juice and I turned back into a human! The aliens lied about not being savages and used their instincts.

And ate me!!!

So, what am I doing? PEC live

As of this moment I am writing, but recently I visited one of my dear friends, Paul  Fleischmann, “at his current place of residence.” He is a very strange middle school writer. He showed me his most recent writing and it included a fisherman, and his man eating fish. Very strange. Anyway, now I think I will write about some more recent events. I ate lunch. That’s it, tune in next time for more strange information on PEC live...

Watson Geisz

Long time ago lived a boy named Watson Geisz. He wasn’t a regular boy, he had abilities that nobody had. He could jump high, run fast, swim fast, and was insanely smart. He was so smart he could use 100 percent of his brain. For example, he could move his school bleachers. If it gets too hard for him to move an object or thing, his nose would bleed. But he put his ability to good use, like stopping villains from stealing or other bad crimes.

Sea

Wind howling
The sea sparkling
And shining as
The afternoon sun
Hits it

Boats resting after
A long day
Out at sea

The water calm
As can be

The sun saying its
Last goodbyes as it
Goes off into a
Peaceful sleep

Dream

He felt his eyes slowly start to close as he drifted into sleep. His eyes then awoke once again, but he was not at home. He was debating whether this was going to be a good or bad dream.

He was just about to pinch his arm to wake himself up, but he stopped midway. He remembered what his parents and the whole community had said. They said that dreams were dangerous. That they were an evil thing that should never be experienced.

They said that even a good dream can turn into a nightmare. They said that whenever you start to have a dream to pinch yourself or jump off a cliff, since you can not die in a dream.

He has been doing that for the past 13 years. It's just that this time, something was stopping him. He found himself walking into the cold fog.

blue blues ( ͡° ʖ̯ ͡°)

I don’t get it! Why does everyone love blue so much. It’s like the color has cast a spell to make everyone love it. I mean its a nice color in all, but it’s everywhere! To people’s jackets to dogs       named after it! It’s so favorited! But I have a comeback...

Blue is named after Blues, so HA blue I hate you! People say it calms them down and helps with anxiety, but I don’t think so!
I know people will call me out for this but, why does everyone have a blue composition notebook? Or a binder or a lunch pail! Jeez people, learn to love ya other colors my friends. There’s plenty of Them. Even though you’re still a fine color.

WARNING! This is a parody (I love blue!)

Guðmundur #5

Guðmundur is my oldest brother, the only sibling that's older than me.  He is two years older than me and he was adopted.  He came from Chad, Africa, and is (eins og Bandaríkjamenn segja það) an edgy teen.  A 15-year-old boy that hates talking to people.  The only time I see him is when he's getting food or we're flying together.  That's not so bad though, when we were kids, he would pick on me and steal my things.  Lately, I've been hearing someone go out in the middle of the night in my amerískt hús. I only hear it when Guðmundur is there with me. He's always so klárast in the morning and smells like ódýr ilmvatn. I just hope that he's safe at night.

Revised Flash Fiction

At the age of 11, me and my entire family lived in a mansion. My father owns a multi billion dollar company, so every once in a while some one tries to steal from us.

That’s the reason why my father has been paying for guards to protect the estate. But unfortunately for me and my family today was different. Very different. Today we don’t really know who sent them, but about 15 men showed up at the estate. We had the idea that the people who hired them was the rival business of my dad’s business.

They came up to the house, blew off the doors, I ran to the safe room with my teddy bear. My brother came with. My father and mother were on thier way but they got shot. Their were cameras watching the  people through the house. My mother survived the shot, fell around the corner. Six of them came around the corner. One shot off her head the rest shot her in the body. My brother ran out. I begged him to stay, but he said he was ok and pulled out something that looked like a .22 pistol. He ran out and shot three of them. I followed my brother out though.

I ran into four of them. Once I heard gun shots I ran the other way. As I was running, they chose to shoot me cause they just wanted to be done with it. There were about two seconds of pain and then it was all gone... my memory, the pain, every thing.

Le Fisherdude

I once was in acquaintance with a fisherdude
Who captured and imprisoned a large amount of aquatic creatures

But one fine Tuesday afternoon,
I travelled over to his current place of residence

I saw no trace of my dear acquaintance
But his largest aquatic creature was in his current place of residence

I wonder what it feels like,
Being consumed by a large aquatic creature in your current place of residence

If I were consumed by a large aquatic creature in my current place of residence,
I would escape from inside of the large aquatic creature using the neurons in my
homo sapiens sapiens brain

When I escaped from the large aquatic creature using the neurons in my
homo sapiens sapiens brain,
I would then proceed to evacuate the proximity of my current place of residence

After evacuating the proximity of current place of residence,
I would continue to search for an unused residence to reside in

After I have found an unused residence to reside in,
I will be content with my living in the current time of my living

But I am still in the fisherdude’s house.

love=life

My everlasting life

I am a leaf
worn down to the last of my life.

Holes
all over my body
that someone, if anyone,
could see a small glimpse of what is left of the world through.
They could see the gas coming off the trees,
almost as if they were

burning.

The smokey air roams
like a wild horse.
Leaving tracks that cover every inch of the land
as far as I can see.

The exhaust
ages me even more than I can bare.
I think about it.
About falling off.
But my time here

is
everlasting.

Racking Leaves!!

I just really don't want to do it! THERE ARE SO MANY LEAVES!! If momma wants me to rake, I will just rake THREE PILES! I will just force him to do it with me too.

Three Piles,
                  I'm DONE!!

Luvan Lake Diaries~Introduction

July 15th, 3010

It's the year 3010, a new species has been found, the Luvan Bird. Belonging to the newly found, well, found about 12 years ago, Luvan Lake in Santa Cruz County, California. (P.S. To all those ghosts reading this right now, no, there are not robots, well kinda, but they aren’t taking over the world. Sorry.)

Anywho, there has been a lot of talk about this lake. People are saying it's haunted and dangerous and all that. People still go on it though, as well as I, and I've never seen anything suspicious. I've swum in it, I've been boating on it. Have I seen the Loch Ness monster? Have I seen any dead people? No, never. And I'm not planning on it any time soon.

Oh yea, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Scarlett. I am 16 years old and go to Luvan Lake High, another new thing built only one year after the Lake was founded. So that makes it only about 11 years old. My Dad got me this diary because he thought I would enjoy writing in it. I know this is going to sound nerdy, but I actually kind of like it!

Anyway, this lake has been the new talk around not only California, but like, the whole United States ever since is was founded! And do you know what that means? Traffic! Lots and lots of traffic! People from all over the country are coming to see this lake! This lake! Why not go to Lake Powell in Utah or something instead of here? Yes, I know that lake was made more than 2,000 years ago, but still! Ugh, ok, changing the subject, well kind of.

I guess our town is like one of the most mysterious places in the world, and when people don't come for the lake, they usually come for the famous Mystery Spot. Me and my Dad go to the Mystery Spot every summer, it's pretty fun actually! It's basically like this one big spot that consists of no gravity so you can just float around in there, plus, it's really cheap to get in, only like $6.00 for adults, $5.00 for parking, and it's free for children three years or younger and active duty military personnel. Haha, yes, I memorized all of that, by the way.

Oh yea, did I mention it's 12:00 at night right now? Guess I better get to bed. Night!

Swinging

She came across the abandoned swing set, in the play park of an old school.
She felt drawn to it, so she sat down on the old wooden seat.
She started to sway back and forth, repeatedly.
As she gently glided through the air, she heard the rhythmic pattern of the chains creaking.
She got lost in the sound.
She kept swinging and swinging.

 Time passed.

She enjoyed the feel of freedom.
But she enjoyed it so much she couldn’t stop.
She became weak and tired.

Jokes

I've been telling some jokes and they are pretty funny. Comment the answers down below. Some I made up and some I’ve heard from places.

Why can't frogs have cars?

How do you cut the sea in half?

Why did the dinosaur cross the road?

What do you call a pig that does karate?

What do you call a t-Rex that got in a car accident?

How does a squid go into battle?

Why can’t they play poker in the jungle?

Autumn Alley

As I stand in autumn alley

Tears plunge into the making of an endless stream

Hoping to fill an empty valley

As I stand there hoping....
Grieving

Hoping that my grief won't dwindle

Though I know the more I hope and grieve the further I plummet....

... into a fictional dream💤

As a mother, I always want the best for my kids. But right now, I'm sure not really sure what to think. My oldest child, Vanessa, is quite the inventor. I am always amazed on what she creates, but now I'm kind of nervous. This invention was outside.

But it really wasn't an invention, more of an idea.

She built this swing that hung on our Oak tree. The only things that made me nervous about this is how high it was and that she might accidentally kick someone. The swing was probably about eight feet high. I was worried about her accidentally kicking her little brother, Jack. Jack was was four years old. Almost five.

Jack kept walking closer and closer and...

The man and the pineapples

The man cuts the pineapple. He really enjoys cutting the pineapple. The man is enjoying himself cutting the pineapple. He is enjoying cutting the pineapple by himself when his pet Terry the hippopotamus joins him in cutting the pineapple. They are now both cutting the pineapple. They are having fun cutting the pineapple but they ran out of pineapple! They go to the store. They buy more pineapple at the store. They go back home to keep cutting the pineapple.

Remember

Your favorite kind of season, I'll never forget
Flowers that you love, I'll always have that moment
Love in the air, where I once sat
The river rushing by as we were talking like we never met
The tree is still there, with our initials inside
Here I stand, why did I have to say goodbye

Cemetery Appreciation

I am sitting in a cemetery appreciating the people that have come before us.

Straight ahead I see a heart-shaped grave stone that reads HELEN L MASIAS beloved wife mother & Grandmother. I notice she lived quite a long time. April 16, 1930–April 20, 2014.

I am lying on a bench someone had made for her. It has a quote etched on the top of it that says, "Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart and you will find rest for your souls."
             -Helen Lujan Masias

I find this quote very interesting to think about. I have so many questions. What do we need to learn from her? By reading this quote and taking her thoughts to consideration will we really have rest in our souls?

I also notice some of the grave stones have flowers, trinkets, all kinds of random, yet meaningful objects. But some don't have one thing placed by its side.

All I can think about is setting something on every single grave stone to show gratitude.

Sitting in a Cemetery

Sitting in a cemetery, alone, listening to the howls of the wind. Listening to the whispers of those whom I once loved. A strong wind blows my hair with the leaves. I look at my view from the top of this hill.

When you think of death, you usually think of it as something normal that happens every day. But when you're  at a cemetery, a whole different vibe flows through your body and leaves you speechless. You realize what a sad, yet horrifying thing death really is. You are sitting in an area of those who were loved and honored. An area of coffins, dead bodies, buried all around you.

I haven't lost very many yet, but just the thought of what a persons friends and family would have to have gone through left me sad and scared. Scared that I will have to go through the same thing those friends and family went through. But there is always a bright side to these types of things, too.

You have to remember that that person is in a better place. Not only that, but they aren't in pain anymore. A smile came to my face thinking about that. If you lost someone you loved, just remember to think positive about it.

I am quite sure a smile will come to face, too.

End or Endless

I don't want this to end. I want it to go on for an everlasting number of miles. I want it to never come to a boundary, but to go beyond.

The moon in the painted sky reflects onto it like an antique mirror. Not perfect. Distressed into a glisten.

Imagining this person walking on this unbreakable..... sea. It's a sea. Now I imagine something. Something different.

War

Have you ever been in a situation where you feel like you might die? Well then tell me, were you in a war, because that's where I am buddy. I'm stuck behind the front lines and the German Air Force. The year was 1941. I was running for my life, when suddenly, a shell impacted right next to me. I thought I was done for, but when I woke up I was in a Nazi prison camp.

They forced me to share classified information, but I would not break. Five days later, I heard a large explosion, then I realized the camp was being attacked. It was our boys rescuing me. I was relieved, yet terrified because all of these bombs were going off at once. The wall next to me shattered. I was terrified!

Yet  I miraculously made it across a war drawn field, and on to a plane that shortly took off. About ten minutes later we were shot down by AA (Anti-Aircraft) cannons. Luckily we parachuted into a friendly air base. We got restocked with ammunition, food, water, and weapons. Faster than time should have went by, we were on a deploymendent plane about ready to jump out.

When we jumped out, there was a sudden rush of air, as if we were standing in front of a giant fan. Before we knew it we had touched down. Sounds of warfare all around us, anti-aircraft guns were firing. Pistols and rifles were right in front of us, with Nazi soldiers behind the barrel! It had almost felt like they were targeting me, because ten of them dashed towards me, so I did the only thing I thought of, I fought half of them off, then called in a gun run from our boys in the air.

Once they were taken care of, I ran to the other side of the city. Somehow I survived considering there was a massive amount of soldiers. When I got in the mayor's house, I found myself being attacked by a few soldiers, and they ordered me to surrender. I did because I had no cover, and I was clearly out gunned. I was put in a room with the mayor, and I was stuck there. I thought to myself if I would ever get out.

Cemetary Manitou

                                  ↩Cemetery Manitou↪

As a buck stared into my eyes in the distance, I saw gravestones. Some with and without wind chimes as I hear the wind making them chime, the beautiful music playing as I also hear the wind rasping through the dead and alive trees.

I was watching the leaves fall off the trees, and  as I look around, I see gravestones with flowers, flags, quotes, and the day they were born and died.

I hear so much that I forget what time it is, because I don’t have my phone or my watch. And
forget what I was writing about because there are so many things that are cool like some of the gravestones had pictures or kids who were my age and died a while ago.

I also hear the footsteps of both bucks, does, and people walking in the old fall leaves that have fallen, with the crunch under them.

And when I walk around to look at the gravestones, I wonder if any of my family knew any of these people, or if I know any of them. I also think, How did these people die? Did they die of age, war, health reasons, someone committing suicide?

Many things were going on in my mind that I couldn’t even focus on one subject. I see colors and names of all sorts, the sky was blue, and I saw fake red roses too. Suddenly I see three bucks, 4 does, 1 calf, and I got their attention by making deer sounds, and they all stared me in the eye. I think they were trying to talk to me, but I barely even knew what they were saying.

Oh yeah, the name of the cemetery, “Crystal Valley Cemetary.”

Book Fair

Has anybody gone to the book fair? If you haven't, I really recommend going. It has so many different kinds of books! Also, it has a lot of things that aren't books. For example, they have erasers. I really like the erasers because they are little animal shapes and some are shaped like dollars and coins. They also have little questionnaire books that you can fill out with your friends. Another thing I thought was cool are these little phone-shaped tins that have a little notepad, a sheet of stickers, and a little stamp pad inside of them. It's really cool to see all of the different genres of books. They have genres from horror to humor. I actually went to the book fair and I was absolutely amazed! Anyway, I suggest that you go to book fair before it closes!

Rest.

The quiet and serenity
Is so peaceful,
As the wind chimes
Cling soothingly
Off in the distance.
You watch as deer
Graze solemnly,
And as you hear
a wicked eagles scornful crow,
You think to yourself...
This might not be such a bad final resting place.

Practice

Basketball season is here. We started practice on Wednesday. Our first game is in two weeks. I don't know what team we are playing, but I know it will be a good game. Last night's practice was fun, but hard at the end. At the end we had to run our press and our offense. Before we could go we had to do a thing called Duke Drill. You have to keep your finger tips on the court and have
to shuffle around the whole court. You may think it is easy, but it is really hard on your thighs. Can't wait until tonight for more.

New Things That I Would Like to See

I would like to see many new things in my lifetime. For example, I have always wanted to travel to France to see the Eiffel Tower. I want to see the Eiffel Tower because I've heard that it is very tall. Also, I've heard that it has a very nice restaurant at the top.

Another thing that I would like to see is a volcano is Hawaii. I want to see a volcano because I have been very interested in them for a long time and have always wanted to learn more about them. I'm also want to see them in Hawaii because I think that Hawaii is such a beautiful and tropical place to be. I would absolutely love to spend some time in Hawaii!

My last place that I want to go to is Germany. I want to go to Germany because they have this really cool ice cream called, "Spaghetti Ice Cream". "Spaghetti Ice Cream", is where they get strawberry ice cream and the shape it to look like pasta. Then, they get a chocolate donut hole and set it in the middle of the top of the ice cream to look like a meatball. Lastly, they drizzle some strawberry sauce on it so that it looks like spaghetti sauce. The outcome of it is really realistic looking, actually. But, the sad part is that they only make it in Germany:(. Anyway those are some places/things that I would like to see in my lifetime.

Weekend

So what is everyone doing over the weekend? I have to go to my step grandparents house because my step grandfather flipped over on his ATV, and we are bringing food up so they starve to death. On Saturday I might be having a sleepover with my friend, Eathan, and we are probably going to play video games, you know if he comes over. Well I guess that's it, leave what you did one weekend, or what you are doing this weekend. Sincerely,
Max Black

Las Vegas

Poor Las Vegas, where 559 people were shot and 59 people were killed while attending a country rock concert. I thought that Las Vegas was a semi-safe place. Sure most people get arrested because they are drunk or high. Beside that it’s a good place (sort of). It is a gambling city, full of casinos. The man had to have had to have hated our country, and/or he was drunk, and/or he was isane, and/or he was far, like really far, Left like more than Democratic left. Or he was from the Right, far right, owning all those guns   By the way, I don’t have any thing against Democratics or Republicans, that’s just what I’ve heard people say about the shooter.  The police are trying to figure out why he did this. I really hope that the families of those people who were shot and/or killed are comforted and find out why. I can’t really image the sadness and grief of those people’s families. I hope the police find out why he did the shooting. Hopefully, time will tell the truth!

WaterSlide Mistake...

On a hot summer's day, my friends and our moms and I went to a water park called ,"White Water Bay" and we go there pretty often.

So, I'm a real "brave one", yeah know? I won't go on any water ride that I would think is "scary", so I couldn't go on most the rides because of my fears. But my friend showed me a new water slide at the park and she said, "Oh there's no drops or falling off on this ride!'' I trusted her for some odd reason even thought the ride was brand new. So we are in the line, it’s really high up but I trusted her she was my friend [and I was 8].

So we eventually get in the double tube and I'm calm, and then they pushed us in to the water slide. It was good for a minute until I saw a DROP! I immediately start trying to paddled back to the beginning of the slide, but there was no use. And I screamed " GET ME OUT OF THIS SLI--!" It dropped down.

I was bawling my eyes out and my friend was laughing so much, and then... the ride came to a stop. I  quickly jumped from the tube and screamed, "HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME!!" I said it in a cry of anger and frustration and ran to my mom and we left the joint.

I now hate slides and hate that "friend.''

How

So everyone pretty much knows about the Las Vegas shooting. Also pretty much everyone thinks it was just one man, or so the news says.

People such as myself have started to think and look at the bigger picture, and I thought, how could one man with 14 guns kill 59 people and injuring over 500 just by himself? Has anyone thought what if he really had like three or four friends with him?

What if  after the shooting his friends heard some sirens and dropped their weapons and ran out? That's a possibility, but it's just puzzling to me how a single man could have killed that many people unless he was using something like a Gatling gun or two really Large Machine Guns, I don't really think that's really possible to do that by your self.

I just wish that some people (directing this toward most of our government) would step back from seeing what's right there and is right in front of them and look at some of the other options, like there being more than one person involved in the shooting. So basically all I'm trying to say is that I don't think that just one man did this much damage to Las Vegas all by himself.

Why pt2

What do you think when I say the word Vegas? What pops to your mind - casinos, hotels and great land marks or is it mass shootings? Like I said about 9/11 lots of people died and now that there is Vegas that has a mass shooting on their hands because one man and his accomplices —semi automatics - shot 59 people and more were injured. What was he trying to do? kill one person or what!?

Maybe He just had some anger management issues, but why couldn’t he have gotten well a ... sniper or hit man? I have no clue what he wanted but what ever he wanted he got it because he “khs” killed him self.

Hey man, how's it going?

So, how's everyone doing today? That's cool. I'm doing sort of good, thanks for asking, my friend. I started my day off with a healthy breakfast of chocolate pancakes and cheesy eggs. I then got chauffeured to school by none other my father himself. When I arrived at the place called school, I saw one of my good friends.

It seems like nothing good has been happening to America, or even the whole world, has been happening in the last three or so months. Las Vegas shooting, Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Irma, etc. All of these terrible, terrible things. What is happening to us? While there are people in Puerto Rico who are homeless and poor, our president is concerned about people kneeling during the pledge of allegiance. It's ridiculous. I don't think that our president has done a single good thing. I think he's gonna start WW3 with North Korea.

Giving or Recieving? ~The Pros and Cons of Both~

Giving or Receiving? Really, it's your choice! Let's start with Giving, here are some of the pros of Giving.
1. Giving makes you feel pride and happiness
2. Giving makes the person you're giving something to feel happy
3. Giving makes the people around you think you're a good and kind person
Now, what are the cons of Giving? Honestly, there's really not that many.
1. You spend your money on it
Honestly, I think that's it, I can't think of any more reasons why Giving is a bad thing. Now, let's move on to Receiving. Let's start with the pros.
1. It makes you feel happy and loved
2. It makes the person giving it to you happy when you thank them
3. I mean, whatever it is, unless its something gross, creepy, or boring, you are most likely going to like it and do something with it or have fun using it
Now, what are the cons of Receiving? I don't think there are very many for this one either.
1. Somebody spent their money on you
2. You might feel bad if they bought a really expensive gift for you
So what do you think? Would you rather Give or Receive?

The Celebrity I Would Like to Have Over for Dinner

A celebrity I would like to have over for dinner would be Emma Watson. I would like Emma Watson over for dinner because she is an amazing actress. I have loved everything that she has been in. Well, almost everything. For all of my life I have never really been a fan of Harry Potter. If you didn't know, Emma Watson played Hermione. My absolute favorite movie that she has been in is, Beauty and the Beast. I really like that movie because Belle is my favorite Disney princess. I also like how they remade the movie in to real life with real characters instead of animation.

I would love to ask her so many questions about her acting experiences. I would also ask her how long it took to shoot Beauty and the Beast. Also if it was hard for her to remember her lines. Anyway, the main point of this is that Emma Watson is the celebrity I would like to have over for dinner.

Water

Hmm.. water, h20 is like everything. Without h20 it's like without out life as in animals and other creature types. Then, when life is gone then there's like nothing, no plants, food as in animals. It's quiet.

Also h20 is what we drink to stay healthy. Water is almost everywhere. Now lets see what I think of it. When is water going to ever run out or be gone?

Or free. like water should be free because you can basically take it from anywhere like rivers, snowy mountains and rain.

Maybe never because when it rains we gather the h20 and from gathering the h20 we just need to take all the bad stuff and chemicals out.

Let's think about the animals. Without water they wouldn't be able to survive or live. Even humans or probably any living thing. Things we use h20 for like cleaning, drinking sometimes, eating, and swimming.

And that's it, the end.

My Favorite Holiday

                                   MY FAVORITE HOLIDAY IS HALLOWEEN

My favorite Holiday is Halloween because you get candy you also get to dress up as anyone you want to be my favorite part about Halloween is the candy also dressing up as anyone you want to be so I guess I don't really have a favorite part about Halloween.

For Halloween I'm going to be Michael Myers and my little sister is going to be Mal from Descendants my sister is very annoying when it comes to Halloween because she always asks my dad if he ordered our costumes yet and even with the pumpkins she always annoys us about getting pumpkins because if we haven't gotten pumpkins yet and its close to Halloween she always bothers us until we get it and if we don't she will be mad very mad.

For last Halloween I was ghost face and my sister was wonder women so she would always try to lasso me with her lasso and when she never did she would just stop but actually she wouldn't next day she would do it right when I get up and it would really annoy me.

But then would stop some time during the day or maybe not but I never know because it is my little sister but she would probably stop. During Halloween we usually stop when it gets really dark or late and we usually hand out candy when we get home we usually get candy at Wal-mart or some other store if we don't we probably wouldn't have time that's probably the only reason we don't get candy or some other reason but that is the only other reason that we wouldn't get candy.

After Halloween my sister always wants a piece of candy or two because right when we get home she just comes to my mom or dad and just asks if she can have any candy when we get right home and no warning right when we come thru the door she asks immediately but my mom and usually say no right away.

Quotes of the world

If we will all die at some point, and most will not live. Is death the end of a life full of nothing? This is why we have to live, if we don't, we don't exist. If we have the capability to send a good message than it is our responsibility to do it and make one life brighter, if someone's only memory is of you make it a good one!

A world full of hate is one world that we have to expect, sometimes we don't have a chance to make our world right, but just the simple act of picking up dropped books is one step closer to a happy pain free world. But is that really possible?

Life on Mars Explanation

(This is a comic I made up not a real comic from forty years ago.)

Life on Mars is a comic where Admiral Connor figures out very quickly that he is not alone on the planet. There are all these aliens plotting on how to destroy him. But there is one alien that got his shoulder blown off and he wants to help the Admiral so he can get revenge on the committee for tossing him out like rubbish.

Now the basis of the comic is that the Admiral finds strange hieroglyphics on a cave wall, that's when he discovered he was not alone. Yet there is an alien that helps him escape, and he starts to learn basic English after a while. The Admiral and the alien escape on an alien craft, and fly it back to Earth. That's when Admiral goes into the Oval Office and tells the president that there is other life out there, but the president won’t believe without visual proof.

Later on in the next couple of slides the president sees the Admiral's proof and believes him, then put the Mars operation into top secret lockdown and no one went to Mars again. Well I guess that in twenty-twentyfour they found the file and rebooted the project, soooo they are very stupid for doing it. Aliens got onto earth and took over the planet.

Again stupid idea.

The American dream #4

Wow, I'm so tired.  So mentally drained.  So darn fed up from traveling!  I forgot to tell you that not all my family moved to America, only my dad.  But both my parents decided that my three brothers and I should be treated like normal skilnaður barna.

So every week Guðmundur, Bjarki, Jökull, and I switch around.  That means that every other week I have to fly to Iceland or America on an eight-hour flight with one of my annoying brothers!  It's stressful, tiring, and so, so, SO guðdómur pirrandi!

Mind reading?

Have you ever thought about a life where everybody has superpowers? For example, say that everybody on the planet had the power of mind reading.

Nobody would even have to think because everybody would already know everything about everybody, if they were thinking about themselves, (which most people do). I don't think anybody would judge because they already know who the person really is, so they don't have to guess.

Would people recognize other people's feelings because they are so used to knowing everyones feelings? Not only not recognizing other's feelings but would they care? I don't know if I would, I would have to think about that. I would try my best to.

Would having the power to mind read boost self confidence, because all people would believe that they are so smart?

Would we still communicate with others because we would think there is no point since we can mind read? If we would try to communicate or talk to one another, we would already know exactly what our friend was going to say next.

I could go on and on about how the world would change if everyone could read each others minds. But have you ever thought about bubble transportation?

I Love Music!

Music. When I have free time I listen to music. My favorite genres are rock, pop, and hip hop. I also like jazz! My favorite artist is Lin-Manuel Miranda! He wrote and starred in Hamilton and In The Heights! He has also written songs for movies.

But, my favorite song is not by him. It’s by Panic! At The Disco, its called “The Death of a Bachelore.” It’s my favorite song because it’s catchy and it’s in my vocal range! I also like it because it sends a message, it tells you he would love to be married, but he also doesn’t want to loose all the things he can have being single. The song goes from piano to forte really quick! Which means it goes from quiet to loud fast. Panic! At The Disco is an alternative rock band, and Lin-Manuel Miranda writes and sings all kinds of different songs!

If you haven’t listened to Hamilton you should! I highly recommend listening to Hamilton, Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy, In The Heights and Bring It On! Thanks for reading!

Pro: You always have someone to talk to.
Con: They always have to be right.

Pro: You can borrow their things.
Con: They're allowed to borrow your things.

Pro: You can be friends with their friends
Con: You always have to "include" your sibling in everything.

Pro: They help you get out of binds.
Con: They get you into binds.

Pro: They're someone who knows everything about you.
Con: They're someone who knows everything about you.

So there are a few examples of why siblings are great!...... sometimes.

Secrets~Introduction

Elena: But Mom, please wait, I can explain!
Elena's Mother: Shut it Elena! That's it, I'm done! I'm getting rid of all your books!
Elena's Mother shoved an axe into Elena's small sixteen-year-old hands.
Elena's Mother: Go cut some wood for the fire, set it by the fireplace. I'm going to bed, find yourself some dinner when you get back.

Elena's Mother walked inside and slammed the door. It was getting late and Elena did not want to stay out after dark, but she knew she had to or she would be in even more trouble. Elena walked into the dark woods and chopped down trees piece by piece. Elena walked around and cut down many more. And after many hours, she decided to go home. She walked inside to the old fridge and grabbed some lettuce and tomatoes. She then added some vinegar to the mix and smiled knowing she must have not eaten for hours. Elena chomped down the salad and walked up to her empty room. All her books were gone, just like her mother had said. She laid in her bed and after minutes, fell asleep.

Sorrow

Those who cry full of sorrow are the ones with most importance.

Many cry for love and others cry for sadness.

We cry for those we lose to sadness, for those we love but loss.

We know we will see them again and always keep them in our thoughts.

We may miss those who are no longer here and only wish to see again, but deep inside they're right here in those memories of joy.

They'll always be part of us for every on going day.

I've also lost one I loved, for days of sorrow I remain.

Hoping like others that I'll see him again, for love never fades.

He's still deep inside my heart and there he will remain.

Yet, I still cry, but that's a sign of love and love will always stay.

Things I Hate

Gum (it is gross looking and has a weird texture)
Yogurt smell (the smell makes me want to barf)
Sweat stains (people can't help it but it still is gross)
Greasy hair (it looks and feels weird)
Being claustrophobic  (I feel like I'm going to suffocate and die)
Toothpaste (I'll use it to brush my teeth, but I will not touch it or smell or do anything else with it)
B.O/body odors (I know people can't help it... but I still don't like it)
A huge slumber party (too many girls)
Sticky things (I hate when you touch it and your hands are sticky)
Lipstick stains (they are really gross... especially when you share a drink)
Bugs (they are really creepy)
Tongue piercing (no point of them)
Belly piercing (also no point)
Wet grass (it will stick to you and I hate sticky things)
Tiny cars (feel claustrophobic)
People that suck on their hair (it is really gross)
Long nails (creepy)
Nails on chalk board (gross sound)
Lotion on hands (hands feel greasy)
Silverware (over rated... obviously)

Home

Home is a place in your heart, some say it can't be changed but it truly can.

Ome, ome is home without the H — it's also a meditation word.

Me, me is home without H nor O and it is a word that refers to your self.

Ee is home without H or O or M — it is simply just E but E means "and" in Spanish.

Travel

I love to travel. There are so many places you can travel to. Travel is interesting because you never know what the place you are traveling to is going to be like. Every place that you travel to is different.

I have traveled to many places, including, but not limited to: Washington D.C., Missouri, California, and all over Germany, (where I’m from) and Switzerland. You can travel anywhere in the world. I love travel because new things interest me.

With whom do I usually travel? Wouldn’t you like to know? Too bad.

The views whilst traveling to places in which you have not previously resided are beautiful.

Whilst traveling, there are many ways to pass time, but my favorite is listening to music.

Be sure to pack sufficiently whilst traveling!

What sisters are

Super special and talks to me everyday about life problems and what people should do to change things and how happy she is to see me next month.
Imagination is overblown when I'm around her.
Sisters are forever and never apart and they mean everything to each other.
Trust comes with being related and talking to each other.
Even though we live in different states, we still get to see each other on holidays.
Relative because she's my other half and my sister.

Thank You!

If it weren't for the 10-Day Writing Challenge, I would have been sitting at home reading and grading all of your homework assignments every night.  Don't get me wrong, I really do enjoy reading your thoughts about books and the world.  But I'm just so glad that I had time to write in my journal! Thank you.  It was such a luxury for me!!  It's ok if it wasn't so wonderful for you.  :)

I guess all I really hope is that you now know it's possible.  You never know what you are capable of until you try. People say that a lot, but then they never actually push themselves out of their comfort zones. You all did. That's a big deal.

Also, I hope you now know that you can always come back to your journal whenever you want.  Try to make writing in it a thing you WANT to do, instead of the thing you HAVE to do.

It will always be there for you.
It can be anything you want it to be:   Poetry. Art. Music. Research. Fact. Fiction. Fandom. Plans. Plans. Ideas. Opinions. Comics. Humor. Philosophy. Memories.
It never judges.
It can be a reflection of who you are and an extension into who you want to become.
It's a story worth telling.

Every story is a story worth telling.

Purple Gatorade?

Man, purple Gatorade is good.

Don't you love a good burger?

Fax? Why don't you just send it over on a dinosaur?

Seen any good movies lately?
